Bubbles!

Our Parents as Teachers group held a bubble making day today and, considering Dorian's love for bubbles, we decided to check it out. It was a lot of fun and there were lots of kids there! Here are a few pics of the kiddo.

Adorable-ness

Yes indeedy, time for some pics! I keep posting pictures on Facebook, but not here. Sorry about that! Here are some cute shots from today. A few toothbrushing shots and some interactions with jelly.

Christmas Pics!

Here are a few pictures from our holidays. Dor, as usual, was totally spoiled! The trike was his gift from Trevor and I. He loves it, even though he hasn't quite figured out the pedals. Drawing is definitely one of his favorite things. I am considering signing him up for an art class soon. He got a train set from my parents that he's been quite excited about too! That, and a 5 foot bear from my brother that he loves to lay on (and I have to say, it is comfy)!

Happy Birthday to me!

Tomorrow I will be another year older, and I have so much to be grateful for. Here's a few pics left over from September that I neglected to post. Enjoy!

Night of the Living Farm!

We (mom, Trevor, Dorian, and I) went out to Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead tonight for their Halloween party. It was so much fun! Dorian wore a dragon costume that my mom bought back when I was pregnant and he looked so cute! He loved the costume, as soon as he saw himself in the mirror, he wouldn't take it off.

Dorian plays on slides at gymboree when he goes to his play and learn class each week with my mom. He loves the slides! He loves them so much that once he spied the slide at Deanna Rose, it was nearly impossible to get him to go look at other things! He would have "slid" all night long!

Here's Daddy and Dorian posing in front of the scary kitty. Dor wasn't so sure about this.

This was the non-scary hayride. Dorian didn't seem too sure about it, but I think by the end he was enjoying looking at all of the lights that they had put up in the trees.

The best pic of the night.

More Farm Fun!

I think this is the cutest picture! Trevor would hold his arms open and Dor would run into them and give him a big hug!

As usual, the goats were a big hit!

Dorian wasn't too sure about toasted marshmallows at first. But after a bite or two, he decided that he loved them!

Dancing Dragon

The last thing that we did at the Night of the Living Farm was dance! dance! dance! Dor would watch all of the other kids, then he would spin around in circles and throw his arms in the air! So cute.

Helping Daddy

This past weekend we were highly motivated to get some household stuff done. I don't know what got into us, but we managed to completely redo our front door, hang a new light outside, and paint the interior entry / railing. We still need to paint / hang our chair rail, but things are really looking nice. Yay us! Anyway, Dorian helped Daddy a lot while he put new hardware on our doors.

Okay, so that last one has nothing to do with the baby. But, it does have to do with my cool new camera that has a setting that allows you to choose one color to emphasize in your photos, making the rest of the picture black and white. Awesomes.

MI Vacation and the Second Honeymoon - WooHoo!!!!

A week ago today we were still in the car, finishing the 14 hour drive from Michigan to Kansas City. We had a lovely time, very relaxing. I didn't take many pictures, but here are a few of the cutie patootie in action.

He still hated the water this year, but he loved blowing bubbles and running around outside. All in all, I think he did exceptionally well on the long drive as well.

In other vacation news, I am tremendously excited to report that Trevor and I will be taking our first vacation sans the little one in October. We are booked for 4 days / 3 nights at a beautiful bed and breakfast in New Orleans. We have dinner reservations at Arnaud's - one of the fanciest, best restaurants in NOLA. I am super excited! I went to NOLA in April for the CCCC's conference and I fell in love with it, so I am super excited to share the city with Trevor. It has long been the only city that he and I could both agree that we would move to, even before we had ever been there. My parents have graciously offered to watch the dogs and the baby while we're gone, enabling us to take this lovely second honeymoon - thanks Mom and Dad!

On to the pictures!
